CAQA Keystone Construction and Plumbing, residential and commercial construction, plumbing and services
Keystone Construction and Plumbing is a mid-sized builder and licensed plumbing contractor working across Melbourne's south east, Geelong and the Latrobe Valley. The construction division delivers new townhouses, small apartment buildings up to three storeys, childcare centres, retail fit-outs and school refurbishments. The plumbing and services division installs and maintains water, sanitary, drainage, gas, roof plumbing and fire services for the company's own projects and for a base of commercial, strata and government maintenance clients. Keystone also employs and trains apprentices in carpentry, plumbing, bricklaying and concreting, and hosts work placement students from partner training providers.
The business runs from a head office and materials yard in Dandenong South, a plumbing depot in Geelong and a site office in Traralgon that opens for regional projects. Work is organised into six departments: Site Operations, Plumbing and Services, Estimating and Contracts, WHS Quality and Environment, Plant Yard and Logistics, and Business Support. Construction sites operate Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with Saturday work only under a council permit. The plumbing maintenance crew runs a rostered after-hours callout service seven days a week. At any time Keystone has eight to twelve live construction projects and around 200 open plumbing work orders.
